Golf in Lanzarote

Costa Teguise has been home to a golf course for over 30 years  and there is also a new course in Puerto Del Carmen.

Both have stunning scenes of the mountain side to the coast and offer buggy, trolley, club hire and have bars and restaurants.

The bi-lingual staff are happy to help from absolute beginners to advanced players and are perfect for all year round playing.

The course in Puerto Del Carmen has wide fairways and fast greens along with unique views of the Atlantic ocean set in natural surroundings.green fees start at 56 euros

The course in Costa Teguise is surrounded by 3500 palms and is an oasis surrounded by fantastic views.It was opened in 1978 and playing golf here provides an incredible experience in a breath taking environment.

Fees start at 55 euros in low season 1/5-30/9 . High season is 1/10 -30/4

There is a new course planned for Playa Blanca starting in 2011 making Lanzarote a perfect golf holiday spot.

There is a bus route that runs very frequently all over the island linking major towns and resorts and even the airport and ferry terminals.

A bus trip from Puerto del Carmen to Costa Tguise will take around 30-40 minutes stopping at playahonda and Arreciffe on route.

You can take the ferry from two ports in Lanzarote and they will take you to the other Canary Islands and main land Spain.

The ferry to Cadiz, Gran Canaria and Tenerife leaves from the port in Arrecife and takes between 12 and 20 hours.

The ferry and fast cat to fuerteventura takes between 20-40 minutes and leaves from the port in Play Blanca.

Taxi,s are cheap and readily available from all over the island and a trip from the airport to Costa Teguise or Puerto del carmen will cost around 25 euros.
