Beaches In Mallorca
Bendiate is 9 km from Palma and is a lovely cove surrounded by palm tress giving shade in the hotter months. There are are sun loungers, snack bars available.
Cala egos is one of the bays that are in the Cala dor area and there is a road train into the resort you can take a boat trip from the beach to discover the other coves and bays.

The beach at Cala Mesquida about 300 metres wide and 139 metres deep, with white sand and strong waves. The beach slopes gently into the sea and is lined with sand dunes dotted with pine trees.

These are Cala Barques, the largest and closest to the main resort facilities, Cala Clara and when you venture around the headland you find Vala Molins.

El Toro is situated on the southwest coast between Magalluf and Santa Ponsa.
The beach is about 200m wide and 50m deep, and quite stony at times, curving toward the entrance of Port Adriano yet sloping gently into the water.
Es Forti is one of the 7 beaches in Cala D’ Or resort and the surrounding area.
Known as Caló des Pou it is one of the smallest coves in the area, framed by magnificent palm trees.
Es Trenc is a magnificent 3km stretch of white sand , backed by dunes, proving to be one of the most popular beaches in Mallorca. It is also one of the official nudist beaches.

Portals Vells is near to Magalluf, past Poniente golf course.

Sa Rapita beach starts at the Sa Rapita marina and stretches as far as Ses Covetes.
The sand is fine and white, with sun longers and parasols available. Dunes and pines trees line up behind, with a small beach bar half way along.
Son Baulo beach is past the marina from C’an Picafort, before you get to the nearby prehistoric burial sites.
Originally a small fishing village, C’an Picafort is now a thriving resort.
Situated on the north coast of Mallorca it has a long sandy beach which stretches from the marina all the way west to the Port of Alcudia.
Boat trips are available from the marina and the usual facilities of water-skiing, pedalo hire and windsurfing are available.
Illetas is a quiet resort overlooking Palma Bay.
There are two beaches in the area, the Platja d’Illetas and the tiny Platja Cala Comptessa.
There is a car park situated quite a distance from the beaches and amenities but access is difficult for anyone with walking difficulties as access is down several steep steps. There is a regular bus service and this may be a preferred method of travel if you wish to visit the resort.
Despite these difficulties Illetas is one of the prettiest resorts in the area and if you are looking for something special and a little bit different then it is definitely worth a visit. The beach and promenade have been renovated over the years and directly opposite there are numerous restaurants and bars.
Water-skiing and banana boat trips are available and the boat excursions on glass bottom boats and others can be taken from the jetty at Son Matias beach.
Portals Nous is situated on the South West coast of Mallorca between Costa d’en Blanes and the popular resort of Palma Nova.
The small beach, which faces one of the small islands of Mallorca, is accessible in two ways, either on foot from the port, Puerto Portals, or from a small lane leading to a steep set of steps which take you down the cliff directly to the beach.
It is a small, semi-natural beach and one of the few in the area with sand dunes. Basic amenities are available and there are restaurants nearby.
The Torrent de la Pareis is a stunning beach surrounded by magnificent cliffs. Situated in the north west, the tortuous stretch of road is the same as the one to Sa Calobra.
You can walk inland and follow the dry riverbed, overpowered by giant cliffs and the background of many a movie where its stark, surreal setting has been used.
The beach resort of Alcudia and the old town merge in the northernmost tip of Mallorca to give one of the largest beaches of the island.

Arenal, in the south of Mallorca near to the airport, is also known as El Arenal.

Situated on the east coast of Mallorca, Porto Colom is approx. 20km south of Porto Cristo. Claims have been made that this is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus.
As most of Mallorca’s resorts, Porto Colom was, and still is, a fishing village and the fishermen’s cottages can be seen at the north end of the pier.Across the bay is the old town with it’s small church.

Puerto Pollensa is on the North East coast of Mallorca, close to the popular resort of Alcudia.
There is a large harbour with several small beaches and a large artificial beach which is host to a variety of water sports. Windsurfing in particular is a main attraction as the large bay is ideal. The waters are shallow making it a good place for families with small children.

The beach is 900m long consisting of fine white sand with a promenade running the length of the beach which offers shade in the form of pine and palm trees.
There is a life guard on duty and there are umbrellas, sun beds and pedal boats for hire as well as wind surfers.
Sa Coma, on the east coast of Mallorca in the municipality of Sant Llorenç.
It is separated from the resort of Cala Millor on the peninsula by the natural area of Sa Punt de n’ Amer, the only undeveloped area along this part of the coast.
Santa Ponsa is a popular resort situated on the south west coast of Mallorca. Since the ’60s it has developed rapidly from a small village and now has it’s own popular marina in addition to the usual resort features.
There is a large, sandy beach which stretches the width of the bay, with a smaller beach at a small cove just off the Av. Rey de Jaime I.
The beach was recently extended, as were several beaches in the Calvia area.
Sand was dredged from the bay out at sea and pumped onto the beach.
It has a promenade which cuts across it, dividing the area where there are a number of pine trees providing shade.
Many of the beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness and are surrounded by crystal clear waters.
